About me
I’m a software engineer interested in front end development, all things JS, and improving performance.
Currently, I’m a Principal Front End Engineer at Fundrise.
Previously, I worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Dorsata working on their prenatal electronic health record.
Before that, I was a UI/UX Software engineer at CCRi on Stealth, a web-based map client for performing complex spatial analytics and visualizing geospatial data, Arpeggio, a marketing and sales trend analytics application, and GeoMesa, an open-source, distributed, geospatial database.
Things I’m hacking on
Things I’m no longer hacking on
- Washtenaw COVID Tracker, a daily scraping (up till 9/1/2022) of data from the Washtenaw County Health Department’s COVID cases webpage.
- OX Rush, a webapp to automate Fraternity Rush at UVA for my fraternity, Theta Chi, and fully replace spreadsheets and slide decks. Using a centralized database for potential new member (PNM) contact information, photos, and event sign-ins, PNMs sign-in at each Rush event they attend, and then Brothers can organize and discuss their thoughts on each PNM by using the app.
- Mapping The Virginia Beer Trail, part of CCRi’s “Charlottesville Hackathon.”
- For Fox Sake, a small (and now, sadly, non-functional) web app for a quick, daily comparison on headlines about the president from Fox News, tracking Obama vs Trump on the same number of days into their respective presidencies.
Education
- I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2014 and majored in Computer Science.
- I was the first Senior Resident of Tuttle-Dunnington Residence Hall.
- I served as a Class of 2014 Trustee and on the Young Alumni Council after I graduated.
- I worked as the Marketing Committee chair for the 2013 Lighting of the Lawn.
